Hypo Awareness Week 2026 has been funded by Roche, which has had no input into the campaign's arrangements or content. During Hypo Awareness week, two DSN’s were allocated to spread the Hypo message through daily road show events. These were organised across the community geographical footprint through posters and displays at local Health Centres. At Eagle Bridge H&WBC Crewe there were daily representations from Diabetes UK and DSN to interact with health care professionals, patients and the general public by answering questions, providing literature, educating and giving out resource bags. During the week DSN’s dropped into community team bases, board meetings, district nurse team leaders meetings and practice nurse education sessions, all to raise the Hypo awareness message. Resource bags that contained literature which had been provided. They also had key rings and large badges which had been made by staff, pocket size prompt cards, juice cartons, glucose tables and details of EDEN Hypo elearning training. They also engaged with community teams though a Hypo quiz with prizes and team selfies including a Hypo poster.
