Following a phenomenally successful Hypo Awareness Week 2022, we would like to thank all of the healthcare teams that took part this year.
A total of 369 sites across the UK and Ireland participated in the annual event, which gives the diabetes community the opportunity to discuss hypoglycaemia in hospitals and primary care settings.
Registered sites are now being encouraged to apply for the Hypo Awareness Week Excellence Award, which celebrates, recognises and rewards the ‘above and beyond’ efforts that were made during the campaign.
The award will be part of the QiC Diabetes awards programme. Due to the close proximity of the awards ceremony taking place this October, the winner will be announced after the event.
To take part, please email emily.mayhew@ojpr.co.uk with the following information:
- Name of trust/organisation
- A 250-word summary
- Supplementary information (optional)
- Pictures (if available)
The deadline for entering this year’s Excellence Award is 12pm on Friday, October 28.
This year we are pleased to announce that the entries will be judged by representatives from our sponsor, Sanofi:
- Becky Reeve, Professional Relations Lead & Acting Head of Customer Engagement, UK & Ireland, General Medicines
- Dr Amar Puttanna, Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology and National Advisor for NHS Engagement General Medicines UK and Ireland.
Simon O’Neill, Director of Health Intelligence and Professional Liaison at Diabetes UK, will also be on the judging panel for this year’s Hypo Awareness Week Excellence Award.
