Hypoglycaemia under the spotlight during national awareness week

Hypo Awareness Week 2022 is currently underway in hospitals and primary care organisations across the UK and Ireland.

Taking place from Monday, October 3 to Sunday, October 9, the annual event educates healthcare professionals on the dangers of hypoglycaemia and how to prevent hypos.

As part of the campaign, registered sites will be holding activities and training to raise awareness about hypoglycaemia to non-diabetes specialists.

Sites involved in this year’s Hypo Awareness Week have received a printed resource pack which includes posters, t-shirts, pens and a social media pledge board.

Since 2012, the yearly campaign has given the diabetes community the opportunity to discuss, and roll out education about, hypoglycaemia across UK hospitals and primary care settings.

This project has been funded by Sanofi who have had no input into any arrangements or content.
